The International School Award (ISA) is a programme organized by the British Council.

It’s a badge of honour for schools that showcase outstanding work in international education, through links with partner schools overseas.

The British Council International School Award started in 1999 to recognise the schools leading the way in instilling and developing a global dimension into the learning experience of all children and young people. It is managed by the British Council.

The award is now available worldwide in countries such as United Kingdom, India, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Lebanon, Cyprus and Pakistan.

Premiere Academy has been participating in the ISA for more than 5 years.

One of the projects for this session’s International School Award is “Recycling as a means of eradicating poverty”. The project is aimed at creating more awareness about the importance of living in a clean environment and to draw students’ attention to good waste management practice.

At the end of this project, our students will be able to;

  1. Appreciate and understand the importance of waste sorting as a necessary process in waste recycling and management
  2. Produce new products from waste materials.
  3. Acquire a skill that can generate income for them thereby reducing poverty

4. Acquire skills on environmental conservation
