In alignment with our status as one of the best secondary schools in Abuja, and indeed one of the best secondary schools in Nigeria as a whole, the goal of our secondary school curriculum is to surpass a mere acquisition of knowledge. We aim to help students achieve a thorough comprehension and application of learned content. We have set up efficient learning processes to ensure that students develop into individuals who can independently apply critical thinking skills where and when it matters. The curriculum is primarily designed to cover the concepts of the Nigerian high schools’ curriculum, while also aligning with the British curriculum. In addition, we offer the following learning programmes:
- ICT training and e-learning programmes.
- Training on leadership and citizenship.
- Personalized guidance in the development of communication skills, language proficiency and public speaking.
- Learning beyond the classroom; an educational experience is provided for all our high school students through organized field studies and educational tours of Nigeria’s beautiful terrain.
- Exchange programmes have been established with at least one comparable secondary school each in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, UK and Europe. These will include educational tours of these countries in order to explore mutually beneficial future academic opportunities.
- Notable Nigerians who are leaders in all sectors of the economy will be invited regularly to give educational talks, seminars, workshops and guidance. We do this in order to water the seed of greatness in our students, and to help them aspire to the greatest heights right from their time in high school.
- Parents who are willing will also be invited to address students generally and to teach some special concepts in their fields of expertise as they relate to what the students learn in their subjects.
- Students begin the British curriculum in JSS1 and write the Checkpoint examination in JSS3.
- Training on developing public speaking and presentation skills.
- Learning Support Programmes (LSP) to ensure excellent results in national and international examinations such as JSCE, SSCE, WAEC, NECO, Checkpoint, Pre-SAT, SAT and TOEFL.
